I would like to take this opportunity to make you aware of our program to help spay/neuter unwanted feral cats.

We have incorporated a TNR ( Trap, Neuter, Return) in our SNAP program to help communities in the Southern Tier with this overwhelming problem.  We just got started in late summer and the response was tremendous.  We would like to meet with the board and discuss this program, if you would be interested.  As SNAP, we have assisted many in your area to S/N their pets.

I have family in Wellsburg and spend a lot of time there.  One of the problems see, as well as in Elmira, is letting owned pets out without being altered.  Some move and “forget” to take their pet.  These animals are reproducing and usually these kittens end up starting the feral cycle.  We have started toa ddress outside cats that people feed but can’t take in.  We S/N, give them rabies and distemper shots, and return to the area where they originated, same as the ferals.

If you would be interested in discussing this further, please contact us and we would be happy to meet and come up with a plan.
